Abstract
On Novembre 15th, 2016 a round table with representatives from the Italian government, a U.S. academic organization, and select NorthEast Coast universities was held at Montclair State University to discuss the present condition of Italian studies and its future perspectives.
Together with the Consul General of Italy in New York Francesco Genuardi, the speakers Dennis Looney, David Ward and Lucia Pasqualini of MAECI (Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) identified points of traditional strength that the field of Italian Studies can still leverage.
