VDI and NJVID: The Solution to Universal Design for Students with Accessibilities
Abstract
The College of Staten Island is leveraging a VDI environment to provide access to accessibility software in order to facilitate a Universal Design environment. As part of this initiative, close captioned video tutorials are being created and stored in NJVID as a resource for faculty and students. This presentation will speak to the VDI initiative, challenges associated with creating tutorials that are accessible for all audiences, strategies utilized for an effective implementation, and participant survey results and VDI statistics demonstrating the success of the initiative.
